Supporting an initiative of the Diamond Workers Union, Gujarat, Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation (GJNRF) recently sponsored the distribution of over 50,000 notebooks to nearly 5,000 students in and around Surat. The aim was to help children of diamond workers who were returning to schools at the start of the new Academic Year.
The books were distributed at a function on June 26 that was addressed by Shri Bharat Kakadia, Trustee GJNRF, Shri Dinesh Navadiya, Chairman, Gujarat Region, GJEPC, and community leaders including Shri C.P. Vanani, Shri Ramesh Zilariya and others.
